Message

In anticipation of the launch, the satellite is currently undergoing environmental testing.

In this meeting, we will review the progress in spacecraft integration and tests this half year.

Regarding the science team activity, we have discussed plans for initial calibration and observations throughout the previous five years of team meetings.

We are now discussing details of the observation plan, including the joint observation strategy, with the newly selected XRISM Guest Scientists.

This meeting will be held as an in-person meeting for the first time in three years.

We are also planning a spacecraft viewing tour. We are looking forward to seeing you in Tsukuba and on the net.

Makoto S. Tashiro (XRISM mission PI),

on behalf of XRISM SMO steering group

To maximize scientific outcomes from the XRISM PV observations, we will hold a small workshop called "XRISM Multiwavelength Workshop 2022" immediately after SM5 (in person or on-line).

In this workshop, the XRISM guest scientists are invited to make presentation in order to share their expertise with other science team members, on multiwavelength and/or theoretical aspects of the PV targets and/or related scientific subjects.

We look forward to seeing you also in this workshop!

Cheers,

Yutaka Fujita and Yoshihiro Ueda (on behalf of the SOC)

Conditions for participation
